Shawn Mendes is postponing his upcoming shows because he’s not feeling well mentally. The Canadian singer announced this on Saturday on Instagram.
“After talking to my team and specialists, I have to decide to take some time to recover and take care of myself and my mental health,” Mendes writes.
The 23-year-old When You’re Gonesinger stops his performances for the next three weeks in Uncasville, Connecticut. “It breaks my heart to say this,” he begins his story on Instagram. “I’ve been touring since I was 15 and to be honest I always find it hard to be on the road away from friends and family.”
After not traveling for a few years, he felt he was ready again. “But that decision came too early”. The tension built until he reached a “breaking point”. “As soon as there are more updates, I promise to share them with you. I love you.”
The singer said earlier this year that he was having a hard time ending his relationship with singer Camila Cabello. The two broke up after about three years at the end of last year.
