Shawn Mendes on a world tour for his album “Wonder” announced on Friday July 8 that he was interrupting concerts for the next three weeks and possibly more. He talks about the need to take care of his mental health.
The singer explained in a post:
“It breaks my heart to have to say this but unfortunately I will have to push the dates for the next three weeks. I’ve been on tour since that I am 15 years old. Honestly that always been hard to be on tour away from my friends and family. After several years without touring I thought I was ready to get back into it, but that decision was premature and alas the burden of the road and the pressure caught up with me and I reached a breaking point.. After talking about it with my team and my doctors, I need to take time to heal myself, take care of myself and my mental health.“
