He said, “Last Wednesday, Nasr Abu Al-Hassan, the president of Al-Ismaili, called me and told me that I had settled on my leadership of the team. I asked him to make an official announcement so that what happened with Helmy Toulan would not be repeated, and indeed within 10 minutes they were announced.”
Gharib revealed, “I knew that Al-Ismaily was suspended for two probationary periods, so I went to watch a clash with the team born in 2005, after which it was planned to meet the Board of Directors to create the technical staff, but divisions between the members surprised me.”
He explained, “I did not feel comfortable with the presence of two sides within the Ismaili Board of Directors, and I postponed ending the contract with Dervishes because of the division.”
Shawky Gharib concluded his statements, “I felt the suffering and fatigue of the late Ihab Galal when I went and saw for myself the division within Ismaili, and I hope that the management of club together and that this season will be for Ihab Galal.”

Shawky Gharib previously coached Al-Ismaili in 2013 for a short period.
On the other hand, Hamad Ibrahim worked as an assistant coach with Ihab Galal in more than one experience, especially Zamalek, Ismaily, and the Egyptian national team.
