Shaw pointed against Bajen’s heels – objects were thrown at him: “It’s going to be tough” – Football Channel

With around 22,000 at the Tele2 Arena on Thursday, it was boiling in the game between Hammarby and Manchester City in the Champions League.

Hammarby started strongly with several chances – but City also had chances to score. And they would too.

There was a quarter of the first half left when Khadija “Bunny” Shaw pulled away with a shot from outside and much to the encouragement of the home crowd, the ball landed in the goal.

Then, “Bunny” Shaw chose to mark the lead with Bajen’s heels, with both arms outstretched. In connection with that, she had an object, which seemed to be a coin, thrown at her.

After the celebration, the crowd at the Tele2 Arena joined in booing every time Shaw had the ball.

– She hears that the whole society was. You don’t do that (pointing to the heel, ed. note) when you come here, she will have a hard time, Bajen defender Stina Lennartsson told SVT at halftime.

Hammarby lost the game 2-1 and Bajen have so far collected three points in four games. Manchester City have so far gone clean through the group stage and gained twelve points.
