Rock and roll star Shaun Ryder debuted with a new look – showing off the results of facial procedures on Channel 4’s Celebrity Gogglebox.
Salfordian Shaun stars in the series alongside his “best friend” and bandmate Happy Mondays Bez, where they are known for their hilarious jokes.
And on Friday night’s show, Shaun also had something to share with her best friend – and the audience.
Because Shaun sported a new look after suffering what he described as “skin pigmentation eyebrows” after losing all of his hair to alopecia three years ago.

He told Bez, while wiggling his new eyebrows, “So what do you think you noticed, I’m totally wrong now.” I have my skin pigmented eyebrows. “
Bez said, “It’s great because I keep seeing your eyebrows go up again, I can see what you are thinking. “
Shaun said, “You wouldn’t have noticed if I hadn’t talked about it. “
But Bez insisted he noticed the subtle change in his friend.

He said, “No, I noticed you raised an eyebrow at me.”
Shaun certainly seems pleased with the results of the treatment, a microblading procedure which is a semi-permanent form of tattooing.
He said on Celebrity Gogglebox: “I look less like a big toe now, don’t I?
“I would wake up in the morning and look at my feet thinking ‘fuck shit, I look like my big toe’.

In a previous interview, Shaun revealed that in addition to his “fake” eyebrows, he also underwent the same pigmentation treatment to replace his hair with a new shaved look using the same technique.
Shaun, 58, of Little Hulton, had to fight Covid-19 earlier this year, and his best friend Bez had mistakenly thought that an unusual side effect of the virus was that Shaun’s hair had grown back.
Singer Kinky Afro Shaun has now dispelled that myth, but by revealing that his secret to skin pigmentation, and not the coronavirus, is behind the transformation of his face.
Celebrity Gogglebox returns to Channel 4 on Friday June 18, but later at 10 p.m.
