Jakarta (ANTARA) – Japanese gadget brand Sharp has released the AQUOS sense8 smartphone which is equipped with 8GB RAM memory and a 5,000mAh battery, targeting middle class cellphone consumers.
“Having achieved success in the Japanese market, we are optimistic that we can make the same story in the Indonesian mobile phone market,” said President Director of PT Sharp Electronics Indonesia Shinji Teraoka in a press release in Jakarta, Wednesday.
AQUOS sense8 is supported by 8GB RAM, while the internal capacity (ROM) is 256GB. If you want to expand the ROM, Sharp provides a memory card slot that can accommodate a micro SD card up to 1TB.
Sharp also equipped the cellphone with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset. The combination of chipset and RAM allows CPU performance on the AQUOS sense8 to increase 36 percent faster than its predecessor generation.
AQUOS sense8 runs on the Android 13 operating system. Sharp promises an operating system upgrade of up to three times and security updates of up to five years for the new cellphone.
Sharp uses a 6.1 inch IGZO LED screen with HD+ resolution of 2340×1080 pixels, while the refresh rate is in the 90Hz-180Hz range.
On the camera, Sharp has embedded a 50MP resolution main camera and an 8MP lens on the back of the AQUOS sense8. For the front camera, AQUOS sense8 uses an 8MP lens.
AQUOS sense8 is equipped with optical image stabilization (OIS) capabilities so that the photo results remain stable even if the user is moving when taking the picture.
For the battery, the AQUOS sense8 is equipped with a capacity of 5,000mAh which is claimed to last up to two days. Apart from that, the cellphone also has NFC technology and a 3.5 millimeter audio port.
Sharp provides AQUOS sense8 in three color choices, namely Pale Green, Light Copper and Cobalt Black, for IDR 5,999,000.
