Loud bangs were heard in connection with the operation, and the Air Force confirms to Expressen that their aircraft caused the sounds when they broke the sound barrier.
– It happens when you fly at supersonic speed. The incident root has two Jas 39 Gripen on standby and those were the planes that were used, says Louise Levin.
What information led you to make a sharp move?
– I can’t go into that. The task we have is to secure and defend Sweden and that is what we do and will continue to do, says Louise Levin.
