Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The government is currently refining the criteria for both four-wheelers (cars) and two-wheelers (motorcycles) that are entitled to use Fuel Oil Products (BBM), especially for Special Assignment Fuel Type (JBKP ), i.e. Pertalite and Selected Fuel Types (JBT), i.e. subsidized solar energy.
The refinement of these criteria was included in the discussion of the revision of the presidential regulation (Perpres) number 191 of 2014 relating to the supply, distribution and retail prices of fuel oil (BBM). The Perpres overhaul will hopefully be completed early next year.
Therefore, the policy of using subsidized fuel on target can be implemented next year.
Saleh Abdurrahman, member of BPH Migas, revealed that if the regulation goes into effect next year, there will be a tightening of the criteria for consumers who are eligible to obtain subsidized fuel.
“But we will continue to urge the public to be wiser about fuel consumption and even if the Presidential Regulation 191 review may start working next year, there will be a refinement of the criteria for consumers who are eligible for JBKP,” he said Saleh at CNBC Indonesia, Thursday (29/12/2022).
Previously, BPH Migas had also issued a statement that what was prohibited from using Pertalite fuel were luxury vehicles with engine criteria for cars over 1,400 cubic centimeters (CC) and motorcycles over 250 CC.
If the Perpres review has been issued, those entitled to Pertalite replenishment are required to register on the Mypertamina website. Subsequently, by registering, the Pertamina petrol stations will find out whether or not the vehicle can fill up with Pertalite fuel and subsidized diesel.
As is well known, the public was wowed by the CCTV video circulating showing Mitsubishi Pajero Sport users freaking out when directed to register in the MyPertamina Precise Subsidy system when they wanted to fill up on Subsidized Heating Oil (BBM).
This happened at Public Fuel Filling Station (SPBU) 44.533.03 Bojong, Purbalingga, Central Java at around 08.30 WIB. Mitsubishi Pajero Sport user seems to bang Electronic data capture (EDC) detained by a Pertamina gas station official for refusing to register with MyPertamina.
