Sharp’s R8s series of mobile phones were called the R8 series when they were launched in Japan. After entering the Taiwan market, an S was added to the model number, but there is no big difference in software and hardware between it and the Japanese version. As for the meaning of the S on the model number, Zhang Kaijie, general manager of Taiwan Sharp, said that it represents “S“ame As Japan” (same as Japan), “S“special Price” (special price) and “S“special Gift” (special gift).
The appearance of the R8s series is roughly the same as the Japanese version of the R8 series. The R8s Pro comes in a single color of matte gold and black, while the R8s comes in Morandi white and Morandi blue. Both phones support IP68 waterproof and dustproof.
