Sharon Stone and Billy Baldwin Recall Difficult Experience Making ‘Sliver’

More than 30 years after starring together in the silver screen flop ‘Sliver’, Sharon Stone and Billy Baldwin have shared unhappy memories about making the movie. In an appearance on ‘The Louis Theroux Podcast’, Stone revealed that former Paramount Pictures chief Robert Evans pressured her to have sex with Baldwin in order to improve his performance. Evans, who died in 2019, was named by Stone in her 2021 memoir. However, it was in her recent interview with Theroux that she openly discussed her experiences on ‘Sliver’.
Pressure to Have Chemistry
According to Stone, Evans suggested that if she slept with Baldwin, their on-screen chemistry would improve and the movie could be saved. She expressed her frustration, mentioning that she was perceived as uptight compared to a “real actress” who would allegedly sleep with her co-star to improve their performance. Stone cited her positive experience working with Michael Douglas in ‘Basic Instinct’ the previous year, where she did not face similar demands.
Billy Baldwin’s Response
In response to Stone’s comments, Billy Baldwin, brother of Alec Baldwin, took to Twitter to share his own perspective. Baldwin claimed that he asked Evans to choreograph a sex scene so he wouldn’t have to kiss Stone. He also pondered why Stone would continue to talk about him years later, questioning whether she still had a crush on him or if she was still hurt by his rejection of her advances. Baldwin hinted that he knew confidential information about Stone, teasing the possibility of writing a book to reveal “disturbing, kinky, and unprofessional tales” about her.
