Osbourne was fired on allegations of racism. She defended Piers Morgan, believing that his right to free speech was not being respected. Morgan was fired from ‘Good Morning Britain’ for ‘racist’ statements about Meghan Markle. He said on the air that he didn’t believe anything she said in the interview with Oprah Winfrey. “Those allegations about racism are completely wrong,” said Morgan. “Can someone please explain to me where and when I made racist statements?”

Sharon also thought it was too short-sighted. “He’s been fired for giving his opinion, but he’s just getting paid for that.” Sharon was subsequently accused of racism by her colleagues. She is also said to have made some intolerant statements behind the scenes. “I don’t agree with everything he says,” Osbourne later said in an interview. “I am pilloried for having a friend who people think is a racist. Apparently I am automatically a racist too. ”

It was to no avail, because she was also fired. Apparently she will be left with a nice deal, because she will go home with 8.5 million euros in severance pay. Nice, given that she had initially only asked for 2 million: the amount that she would still be paid during the remaining two years that her contract was normally still running.

Piers Morgan calls her departure from ‘The Talk’ a shame: “Her dismissal is a black mark on the reputation of CBS,” he writes in a response to Instagram. “Bullied out of her job. Because she defended me against a made-up claim of racism, because I refuse to believe a liar. ”
