After more than ten years, 68-year-old Sharon Osbourne is no longer on the payroll of the American talk show The Talk of CBS. That program was pulled off the air for days after Ozzy Osbourne’s wife openly defended Piers Morgan for his disputed statements about Meghan Markle and was accused of racism.

“The events of the March 10 broadcast were disturbing for everyone involved, including the audience watching at home. We concluded that Sharon’s behavior towards her colleagues was not in line with our values for a respectful workplace, ”her employer cites CBS as the reason for Sharon Osbourne’s resignation.
In that last episode of the show, she got into a fight with Sheryl Underwood, one of the other presenters. Osbourne raved about and some of her statements had to be masked with a bleep. The feud started when Underwood accused Osbourne of actually approving the racist statements made by her good friend Piers Morgan. The well-known presenter resigned a few weeks ago when he questioned whether Meghan Markle had really struggled with suicidal thoughts on his talk show Good Morning Britain. Prince Harry’s wife had told this in a much-discussed interview on Oprah Winfrey’s sofa.
The broadcasts of The Talk were dropped after the argument for an internal investigation. Not only for the altercation that could be seen on the tube, but also because colleagues accused rocker Ozzy Osbourne’s wife of racism behind the scenes. Sharon Osbourne defended herself on Twitter two weeks ago. In a message she stated that she only wanted to defend freedom of speech, but is certainly not a racist. She apologized to anyone who would have perceived her defense of Morgan as racist.
