(ANSA) – BERGAMO, AUGUST 28 – The Carabinieri operations began this morning on the streets of Terno d’Isola, which were closed to traffic by the mayor. They are using metal detectors to search manholes and flowerbeds for the kitchen knife or dagger used to kill Sharon Verzeni, 33, a bartender, who had left her house for a walk on the night between July 29 and 30 in via Castegnate, in the town in the province of Bergamo. The searches are concentrating on the street where the crime took place and the surrounding streets. In recent weeks, several knives had already been seized during searches by the Carabinieri of criminals in the area, weapons that are still being analyzed by the RIS, even if none of them are thought to be the one wielded by the murderer. The investigations into the murder, carried out for almost a month with specialized personnel and the most advanced technologies, including for examining images from cameras, have not yet allowed the murderer to be identified.
