The tragic incident took place in the city of Jabuatan dos Guararapis.
It is reported that the shark attacked the man when he went into the water up to his waist. The predator bit off his arm to the elbow and severely injured his leg. The victim was dragged ashore and handed over to doctors. However, it was not possible to save him; in the hospital, doctors pronounced him dead.

“My friend was resting with the deceased and was next to him in the ocean. Suddenly he saw that he was struggling with something, and a lot of blood appeared in the water,” said an eyewitness to the incident, Adrian Gomes.
It is worth noting that there are advertisements on the beach prohibiting swimming, but the drunk men ignored them.
