Shark Attack in Dahab Beach: Minister of Environment Takes Action

Dr. Yasmine Fouad, Minister of Environment, confirmed that a decision was taken to close one of the beaches in the city of Dahab in South Sinai, after an Egyptian woman was injured by a shark attack, in coordination with the South Sinai Governorate.

Dr. Yasmine Fouad, Minister of Environment, immediately directed the team working on natural reserves in South Sinai to form an urgent committee to evaluate the situation and determine the causes of the shark attack and combing the beach.

After following up on the condition of the injured citizen, the medical authorities reported that her health condition had stabilized and that all immediate aid had been administered to her, and her health condition was being monitored immediately.

A report had been received to the Ministry’s Operations Room of an incident of a shark attack on one of the queues, and the reserve’s state of readiness was immediately raised and coordination and cooperation were established with the South Sinai Governorate and all concerned parties, while taking all necessary precautions.
