Sharjah Police Organizes Awareness Initiative for Elderly in Al Hamriyah Suburb Council

Sharjah, 4 October / WAM / The Sharjah Police General Command, in cooperation with the Department of Social Services and the Department of Suburbs and Villages Affairs in Sharjah, organized an awareness initiative for the elderly in the Al Hamriyah Suburb Council targeting the elderly at the Literacy Eradication Center in the Department of Social Services.

The initiative came as a continuation of the ongoing efforts of the “Be Aware” awareness campaign, which was launched last month, and in order to organize various community activities for various segments of society, especially the elderly, in order to enhance their important role as the foundation of society.

The initiative included providing awareness lectures entitled “Telephone Fraud and Electronic Extortion” delivered by First Lieutenant Dr. Ashaba Al Ketbi from the Criminal Investigations Department, and a lecture on mental health delivered by First Lieutenant Aisha Butti from the Criminal Laboratory Department, aiming to prevent diseases and viruses for the sake of a healthy mind and a healthy body, in addition to To interactive dialogue segments between First Assistant Abdul Latif Al-Qadi and the elderly about the past and coming fifty years.
