Sharjah Police Launches “Be Aware” Campaign to Combat Cybercrimes and Enhance Security Culture

Major General Saif Al Zari Al Shamsi, Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police, stressed the keenness of Sharjah Police to enhance the quality of security life for members of society, by enhancing the security culture by highlighting the dangers of new crimes. To reach a society aware of the dangers of various cybercrimes, indicating that the police seek to employ all available electronic means to reach the largest segment of society.

This came during the launch of the “Be Aware” campaign by Sharjah Police, which aims to educate the public, and all members of society, about falling victim to electronic fraud and blackmail, by broadcasting awareness messages to community members via “cinema screens”, with the aim of spreading awareness about the dangers of electronic games. Children may face crimes of fraud and electronic blackmail, as cinema screens are considered a new method of enhancing societal awareness.

Guard service

The Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police called on members of the community not to hesitate to report any threat to which they are exposed, and not to give in to the requests of trolls and fraudsters, and to immediately report any blackmail they are exposed to or negative behavior through the “Guardian” service, through the Sharjah Police application, At the same time, he appreciated the cooperation of VOX Cinema in supporting the efforts of Sharjah Police aimed at enhancing security and stability.
