The Bulgarian team was crowned champion of the fifth edition of the Sharjah International Paragliding Championship, which was held in Jebel Al Faya in the Maliha region, winning gold medals, the championship cup and its financial prize after achieving 193 points. On the individual level, the ranking was topped by the Saudi star Muhammad Ali Asiri, who won first place and the gold medal and its financial prize, achieving a score of 28 points, and the Bulgarian pilot Stefan Latiskrov came in second place and won the silver medal, with a score of 55 points, while the Bahraini pilot Abdullah Al-Thawadi won third place and the medal. Issa Hilal Al-Hazami expressed his happiness with the gains achieved by the tournament, congratulated the organizing committee and the Emirates Air Sports Federation, and stressed that hosting the tournament for the fifth time consolidates Sharjah’s sporting status and proves that the event’s location is incomparable, as it is considered one of the best locations in the world. Muhammad Youssef Al-Mazmi praised the efforts of the logistical work team led by Abdullah Murad, a member of the Board of Directors, who made clear efforts until the tournament came out in the best possible way.
