This year’s Sharjah International Book Festival will begin on November 1. We are talking about books’ is the message of the fair this time. The Sharjah International Book Fair will be held from November 1 to 12 at the Sharjah Expo Center. This time the message of the fair is ‘we talk about books’. The authorities shared the details of the fair in a press conference held at the Sharjah Book Authority headquarters. 15 lakh books in various languages will reach the fair this time.

There will be 1200 Arab publishers from the Arab region. 120 publishers from India will participate this time. Bollywood star Kareena Kapoor, financial writer Monika Helen, Sunita Williams, Dutch Yogacharya Swami Purnachaitanya and Chef Pillai are among the prominent guests. Sharjah Book Authority CEO Ahmed Al Marri said more guests will be announced later.
A publisher conference will be organized from 29th to 31st of this month ahead of the fair. Sharjah Copyright Awards will be distributed. Publishers publishing books for the differently-abled will be specially honoured. Various 1700 events are planned in the fair. Book discussions, meet-and-greets with authors, fairs for children, plays, workshops and cooking fairs will be part of the fair. 81 delegates from 66 countries will attend various events. South Korea Consul General Moon Byungyun also attended the press conference.
