The Sharjah International Book Fair opens to visitors of its 42nd session a door to the world of mystery, imagination and surprise, with a group of writers specializing in the literature of suspense and mystery in the activities of the second session of the “Festival of Suspense and Suspense”, which will be held over three days in the period 8-10 next November.
The festival, which is held in partnership with the “Thriller and Suspense Festival” in New York, provides a platform that brings together 10 international writers specialized in this type of literature, with an audience of lovers of mystery, mysteries, and narrative narratives.
The list of international writers participating in the second session of the festival includes the Finnish writer Max Sick, one of the best-selling crime and thriller writers in the world, and one of his most important publications is “The Last Grudge,” and the American writer K. J. Howe, whose first book in the “Freedom Broker” series was awarded » It won the “Best First Thriller Novel” award, and was nominated for the short list in the “Barry Awards”.
From the United States, J.D. Parker, the author of the famous novel “The Caller’s Game,” will participate, and Danielle Trussoni, the New York Times best-selling author whose book “Falling Through the Earth” was chosen as one of the ten best books of 2007, and Ivy Bushoda, the best-selling author. Best-selling and award-winning thriller novelist, author of “Sing for Her.”
A large number of other stars from the excitement and suspense festival will also be guests at the festival.
Workshops
The festival offers two workshops from 11:00 am to 12:00 noon in Forum 2, the first on the first day, Wednesday, November 8, entitled “Mastering the Art of Suspense and Excitement: How to Create Interesting Narratives,” presented by the American writer KJ Howe. , and writer J.D. Parker, while the second workshop will be held on the second day, on Thursday, November 9, under the title “Uncovering the Mystery: Learning Convincing Suspense in Developing Plot and Characters” with Australian writer Candace Fox.
