The Sharjah Ports, Customs and Free Zones Authority announced that it thwarted an attempt to smuggle two intruders through one of the customs ports of Sharjah Customs in an attempt to sneak into the country illegally, during an inspection of two vehicles using the latest radiological detection devices to examine the vehicles, which detected the presence of suspicious objects in the two vehicles.
The authority explained that as a result of the proactive follow-up and constant vigilance of the inspection officers who conducted audits and reviews of the data issued by the radiological scanning devices of the vehicles, two intruders were caught hiding in an iron box installed in a professional manner under the rear trunk of the two vehicles, and they did not carry any identification papers. The intruders and the drivers of the two vehicles were transferred to the authorities. competent to take the necessary legal measures.

Al-Raisi pointed out that Sharjah Customs possesses an advanced customs system capable of thwarting smuggling attempts in all their forms through all the emirate’s customs ports, in accordance with the latest global practices in this regard, as well as confronting any smuggling individuals or criminal networks that aim to undermine the security of the homeland. And the citizen, praising the efforts of Sharjah Customs officers for their efficiency and constant vigilance in professionally confronting smuggling attempts of all kinds and by various methods in various circumstances in order to preserve the security and safety of society.
