“Sharjah Charity” prepares 10,000 Ramadan baskets through its “Joud” campaign

The Sharjah Charitable Society, in cooperation with the volunteers of the Sharjah Voluntary Work Center, began implementing the projects of its Ramadan campaign “Joud”, and began it with the “Ramadan Basket” project, which aims to help needy families provide Ramadan supplies and basic needs throughout the blessed month of Ramadan.
Abdullah Sultan bin Khadim, Executive Director of the Association, said that the work teams of the Association’s employees and volunteers from the Sharjah Voluntary Work Center began distributing Ramadan basket allocations daily to deliver 10,000 baskets to those entitled to them. The contents of the basket were provided in cooperation with a number of commercial outlets, including 10 types of food items.
He added that the number of beneficiaries of this project reaches 50,000 people registered on the association’s lists. Pointing out that the association took care that the basket included food items in large quantities and of high quality.
He pointed out the importance of the Ramadan basket project in supporting the deserving and emphasizing the spread of the culture of volunteerism and humanitarian work in society, which supports the values of social solidarity in it, increases the solidarity of its children, and spreads joy in the souls of the deserving segments.
