Sharing experiences | Prague Business Journal

Share yours experiences it is not harmful in any industry and in any way. After all, let’s just take our vacation trips and how the evaluation generally benefits and increases our satisfaction when we are away from home. References show us how good or bad we will be in a given place. And they can be just as helpful if we are looking for a new job or trying to establish cooperation with a new company that we have been eyeing for a long time.

Sharing has positive effects

Whether the shared experiences of employees or employers, in both cases it can (and does) have very positive effects on practically everything else. While employers know what they are doing well, or what to work on specifically, thanks to the feedback of their employees, the sharing of experience or knowledge between employers helps growth elsewhere.

In order for the company to function well, it is crucial that the employees pass on their experience to younger and more junior positions. We are talking about the so-called peer system, which also works elsewhere in life, not only at work, in which the team expands.

Moreover, by automatically sharing the acquired know-how, there will be more significant and faster growth than by trial and error. Maintaining and protecting in-house knowledge, but also expertise despite personnel changes.

Share both types of knowledge

Did you know that today we distinguish two types of knowledge? One is the so-called explicit knowledge, in which we express everything we know verbally or on paper, using numbers and also data. Then we know the unwritten knowledge that is learned at the level of the individual. Both need to be passed on, although the latter seems to be more crucial.

Then we also distinguish sharing per se. Sharing on our part is active, when we try to communicate our sides and abilities as best as possible, while passive sharing is more about deepening knowledge by asking questions from colleagues.
