Shari Bossuyt is this week at work at the World Cycling Championships in the mixed relay (Wednesday) and in the road race (Saturday).
This season Bossuyt, trained on the track, conquered the Belgian promise title in the time trial. At the European Championship time trial (7th) and the European Championship on the road (8th), she always finished in the top 10 among the U23.
Bossuyt rode for the Dutch training team NXTG in recent years. Now is the time to take the step to the WorldTour.
At Canyon-SRAM, our compatriot ends up on one of the best women’s teams. The German formation has top riders such as the American Chloe Dygert (a time trial phenomenon), the Polish Katarzyna Niewiadoma and the German Lisa Klein.
“Being a professional rider in a team at that level gives me a lot of motivation. I’m looking forward to learning a lot from the other riders,” says Bossuyt, who has signed a 2-year contract with her.

There is even more transfer news from the women’s peloton. For example, Lotto Soudal Ladies has strengthened itself with the Dutch Kylie Waterreus and our compatriots Eefje Brandt and Mieke Docx.
Docx had been riding for Doltcini for years. At the Belgian Championships in 2019 she finished 4th and helped her then teammate Jesse Vandenbulcke to the tricolor. Now both riders are reunited at Lotto Soudal Ladies.
