Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – The Best Awards Ceremony for 2023, presented by the Confederation of African Football (CAF), will be held on Monday evening, in the Moroccan city of Marrakesh.
The award for the best men’s player from the African continent is limited to 3 players: Egyptian Mohamed Salah (English Liverpool player), Moroccan Achraf Hakimi (French Paris Saint-Germain player), and Nigerian Victor Osimhen (Italian Napoli player).
The award will be presented according to the performance of the three candidates, between November 2022 and September 2023, with their European clubs and national teams.
Salah aspires to achieve this award for the third time in his history, as he previously achieved it in 2017 and 2018, while Hakimi and Osimhen are looking to win it for the first time.
