After the first evening of Sanremo 2021, and scrolling through the historical series of festival audiences (not always comparable due to how the TV scenario has changed over the years), we have to go back to Sanremo in 2011 led by Gianni Morandi to find an average of the first evening lower than yesterday’s. In 2011 it was 46.39% against 46.6% yesterday. But the worst precedents of yesterday’s average share figure are many and illustrious: Antonella Clerici in 2010 (with 45.29%), Pippo Baudo in 2008 (with 36.46% share) and in 2007 (with 44 , 82%), Panariello in 2006 (with 44.45% share), Simona Ventura in 2004 (with 42.48% share), Baudo again in 2003 (with 42.55% share), for to mention only those of the new millennium.
