Together with winemakers and community leaders, Congressman Adriano Espaillat announced this morning that a million dollars is being allocated to prevent crime in small businesses in Upper Manhattan.
It was at a press conference held at the winery association’s headquarters, and public safety was the main topic.
Espaillat received that amount during the 2024 fiscal year federal funding process.
It will be allocated to the Police Department’s Small Business Crime Prevention Project.
In particular, it will be used to implement protective security resources in businesses of various trade associations.
The NYPD, in coordination with each entity, hosts community events aimed at strengthening relationships and promoting public safety through the development of crime prevention strategies.
