Veteran political leader Sharad Pawar’s shock resignation from the top post of his Nationalist Congress Party has caused uproar among party workers. However, his nephew Ajit Pawar has now stated that Sharad Pawar has agreed to “rethink” this decision. Ajit Pawar revealed that he and Sharad Pawar’s daughter Supriya Sule, along with other party leaders, met with the veteran leader and he has sought a few days to reconsider. The suggestion was made for Sharad Pawar to remain the president and appoint a working president under him. “Sharad Pawar listened to us and then asked us to come back here and speak to the workers sitting here,” said Ajit Pawar. Sharad Pawar had announced his resignation due to his advanced age, but it seems that he may have now changed his mind.
