NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal literally stole the show from F1 stars on the US Grand Prix podium this Sunday in Austin. Relive this funny moment on video.
For the long awaited return of the F1 on their land, the promoters of United States Grand Prix have put the small dishes in the big ones. the SHARE (Circuit OF The Americas) d’Austin this weekend was the scene of a multitude of festivities to the delight of tens of thousands of spectators who rushed there for three days.
Above the very festive nature of the event, which stood under a hot sun, and the communicative joy felt in the paddock in contact with the fans, the track show was also of high quality. Hotly contested, the qualifying session saw a Max Verstappen at the top of his game snatch pole from Hamilton at the cost of a final anthology tour.
On Sunday, 56 racing laps were not lacking either, the Mercedes driver harassing his rival to the checkered flag. He missed a second to prevent the Dutchman from to surround the laurels and increase his championship advance to 12 units.

As often in recent years, the United States Grand Prix attracted its share of stars. Thus appeared in Austin the actor Ben Stiller, the singer Megan Thee Stallion, the youtubeur Logan Paul and, icing on the cake, Shaquille O’Neal ! The NBA legend, 49, caused a sensation first on the starting grid but above all on the podium.
The show, very “American”, was worth the detour when Shaq tumbled into the pit lane at the back of a huge limousine. In his hands, the winner’s trophy which he presented to Max Verstappen while enjoying the ceremony. As you can see from the photos above, the difference in size between the former giant of Lakers and the F1 “jockeys” is awesome!
