Swiss international Xherdan Shaqiri says he wants to help “bring the glory back” to the Chicago Fire after linking up with the Major League Soccer club. Chicago said it was the most expensive transfer in team history, but did not specify the amount. The 30-year-old Swiss international arrived in Chicago last Thursday after signing a three-year contract.
Shaqiri wants to succeed in MLS
As a reminder, Xherdan Shaqiri has only started nine times in the league and has only made 11 appearances for Lyon this season, scoring two goals, against Troyes on September 22 and Marseille on February 1. He also appeared in five Europa League matches. It is now a new chapter that opens in his career.
