Shaqiri Never Failed in Serie A, Isn’t It Trauma?

Liverpool

xherdan Shaqiri reportedly interested in playing in Lazio this season. Did Shaqiri forget that A league keep bad memories for him?

Shaqiri has been playing for Liverpool for three years. However, his career was not smooth there because of injuries and inconsistent performances so he rarely got a place in the first team.

Shaqiri only appeared 63 times over three seasons and his average playing minutes was less than 40 minutes per game. So it’s only natural that Shaqiri feels his time at Liverpool is up.

On the one hand, Liverpool certainly do not want to lose Shaqiri for free considering his contract will expire next summer. Therefore, selling Shaqiri this season is the best way.

Incidentally Liverpool has also given the green light to the Swiss footballer to leave. Lazio is said to be the main goal for Shaqiri who is interested in attacking Maurizio Sarri’s football.

However, Shaqiri may forget that he had a bad experience in Serie A. Shaqiri played in Italy while playing for Inter Milan in 2014.

However, Shaqiri only had one season there because he failed miserably. He played 20 times with three goals before being sold to Stoke City at the end of the season.

“I don’t think I’m the only one who thinks Italian football has developed in recent years. The European Cup winners are proof of that, they deserve it,” Xhaqiri said in Football-Italy.

“Just look at how many Premier League players have moved to Serie A at the moment,” he continued.

“Sometimes in football it can happen, being at the wrong club and at the wrong time. I don’t regret that because experience will make your life better.” xherdan Shaqiri about a bad season at Inter Milan.
