Yesterday, the Shanghai Grand Theater ushered in the 25th anniversary of its establishment and opening. The large-scale mural “Goddess of Art” created by the famous artist Ding Shaoguang for the opening of the Grand Theater in 1998 reunited with the audience in the “Return” lobby.
During the art experience day for the anniversary, the Shanghai Grand Theater joined hands with the Shanghai Theater Academy’s “Juguang” drama care public welfare service group to provide guided tours of the exhibition “Ding Shaoguang and “The Goddess of Art”” for the visually impaired. “In my impression, the grand theater is a theater and a stage. From August 23, more than 50 series of performances and activities for the 25th anniversary celebration season of the Shanghai Grand Theater will be launched, including the “Broadway Bright Night” musical all-star concert, the art exhibition “Ding Shaoguang and “The Goddess of Art”, special celebration season Edition 300FUN art market and art experience day, architectural light show, etc.
During the celebration season, the Shanghai Grand Theater launched an art exhibition “Ding Shaoguang and “The Goddess of Art” in the art collection hall. In addition to the original works of “The Goddess of Art”, 10 works including “Dance”, “Dream”, “Return to Nature” and “Pray for Peace” were displayed. A work by Ding Shaoguang. At the beginning of this month, the Shanghai Grand Theater unveiled the 2023-2024 performance season with the theme of “Yuan”. From August 25th to 27th, on the square on the west side of the theater, the celebration season special edition 300FUN art market is themed with “Hello, Goddess of Art”, inviting friends, neighbors and partners of the Grand Theater – Shanghai Museum, Shanghai Opera House , Shanghai Ballet, Shanghai National Orchestra, Shanghai Cultural Square, Pudong Art Museum, YOUNG Theater, Shanghai West Bund Grand Theater, Meng Jinghui Drama Studio, Shanghai Wenguang Performing Arts Group and other cultural venues and art institutions participated in the event, and the market was integrated into the “Goddess of Art” ” elements, presenting classics in a new form.
There were crowds outside the venue, and the space inside the venue was fully activated. The special edition art experience day of the celebration season gathers 20 art education activities, gathering different forms of guided tours and workshops such as ballet, hip-hop, theater experience, and hand-made.
