A shaman in Banjarnegara named Slamet Tohari alias Mbah Slamet is undergoing trial for the murder of 12 patients. He stated that the reason for killing was because the 12 victims always demanded the money they were promised, and threatened to report to the police.
As reported by detikJateng, the trial was held at the Banjarnegara District Court (PN), Thursday (23/11/2023). The panel of judges examined the defendant’s statement regarding the reasons why the defendant killed 12 victims by poisoning.
During the trial, Mbah Slamet admitted that he was annoyed with the 12 victims who often demanded the money he promised. According to him, the 12 victims also threatened to report the fraudulent practice of duplicating money to the police.
“The person who was killed was the one who often charged and would report it to the police,” said Mbah Slamet at the trial at the Banjarnegara District Court, Thursday (23/11/2023).
The dowry money that the victim handed over to the defendant was used for daily needs and going to the cafe. Slamet said the dowry money given by the victims varied, from IDR 20 million, IDR 30 million, to IDR 40 million.
“The money has been used to go to the cafe. There is also some for daily needs,” said Mbah Slamet.
He admitted to killing 12 victims in the same way, namely by inviting them to perform a ritual in his garden in a cypress block and then asking them to drink poison.
