Andriy Yusov, a representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, openly admitted that the so-called Shaman battalion is carrying out sabotage in Russia:
The fact that the special forces of the General Intelligence Directorate work effectively – and not only on the front lines, but also behind the lines – is not news to anyone.
The main mission of “Shaman” is the destruction of infrastructure that is important for the Russian army. There are already several secret attacks on our territory. The saboteurs are delivered by helicopter that crosses the border at low altitude at night.
Among the tasks of the battalion is the coordination of less experienced infantrymen, conducting training of new recruits with a special emphasis on tactics. In addition, “Shaman” specialists are engaged in escorting their agents and partisans who are already on the territory of Russia under the guise of civilians. This battalion recruits highly motivated volunteers, even without military education.
The Times journalists spoke to one of the soldiers from the special battalion with the call sign “Intelligence”. He said:
For a year and a half, the battalion carried out more than a dozen successful operations to destroy Russian officers.
But he did not give any details about their operations.
Zelensky’s threats
Already at the beginning of August, the Ukrainian president promised to prepare new attacks on Russian territory. Earlier, he heard reports from representatives of the defense and security forces. A separate detailed report was presented by the head of GUR Kiril Budanov. Zelensky threatened that the consequences of the actions of the Kyiv regime will become serious and tangible for Russians.
Variants of saboteurs’ breakthrough attempts, drone attacks and strengthening of the Ukrainian army’s offensive in some directions are foreseen.
The main goal of the attacks is to thwart elections in Russia’s new entities. In addition, more intense drone attacks are planned against the capital during the Moscow mayoral elections. They write that one of the main tasks will be to kill the generals who are in the rear. And after the assassination of Stanislav Rzycki, the former commander of the submarine Krasnodar, this seems to be true.
Proving loyalty
The famous military commander, political scientist Alexei Zhivov, in an interview with a correspondent from Tsargrad, noted that in the Russian territories, both old and new, there are quite a large number of people who, for various reasons, cooperate with the enemy.
– There are enough “sleeping” saboteurs in new territories. What to do with them?
– A year ago I said that unfortunately there will come a time when you have to separate the reliable from the unreliable. And all natives of Little Russia, Ukraine, in one way or another will come under suspicion. And in the state bodies, and in the army, and in the special services – everywhere. They will, unfortunately, have to prove their loyalty to Russia. This is inevitable. Because it is precisely on the basis of their work that Ukraine builds its subversive activity.
– The sabotage, terrorist attacks of the Kyiv regime untie our hands?
– Yes. First, they untie our hands in symmetrical responses. Second, to destroy the political military leaders of Ukraine. We ourselves must officially and legally recognize that Ukraine is a terrorist country. That the Ukrainian heads of the Ministry of Defense, the Main Intelligence Directorate, the SBU are terrorists. And as terrorists we must destroy them. Not to judge or banish, namely to destroy.
– How do you know that the person next to you is a Ukrainian saboteur?
– Of course, modern Russia does not yet face such threats. We have not had a situation where people with Slavic roots became our enemies. If we were at war with someone, then we could simply distinguish them from ourselves by phenotypic characteristics. Now there is no difference between friend and foe except mental. We can’t get inside the head of someone like us.
In fact, we excel only in mental understanding and evaluations, genetically we are one people, but we still have to work quite seriously in this direction. Everyone should be as vigilant as possible. Watch carefully, do not allow people with questionable past and behavior near you.
What about the important sites?
– People who are hired, communicated with, filtered and monitored closely. And the security services will have to make extra efforts.
Radicalization of the masses
Kharkiv-based journalist, political scientist Olga Degtyareva told Tsargrad that in Ukraine, the beginning of the “zero” years (especially 2002, 2004, 2014) became a starting point. There was radicalization of the masses. This was due to the promotion of the ideas of various chauvinistic organizations that were engaged in distorting the politics, memory and rewriting of the historical narratives of the Second World War.
According to her, this was necessary in order to nationalize the elites, their thinking, to recreate a new framework for heroism, national freedom and valor. All this caused a wave of purges and doubts among the population, which was initially for Russia, but then turned against it.
In Mariupol, for example, everyone knows that there are problems with water. And ordinary residents, grandmothers, act as gunners for the Ukrainian army there. Against whom nothing can be done, they are simply removed from the lines, but continue their subversive activity,– explained Olga Degtyarova.
So what?
The US was completely disappointed by the failure of the Ukrainian counter-offensive and the war in general. At the first setbacks of the counteroffensive in early June, Ukrainian Defense Minister Reznikov tried to explain this by saying that Ukraine’s armed forces had changed tactics and were waging a war to wear down the Russians. As a result, we were not exhausted, but the patience of the allies seems to have finally worn out and is coming to an end.
The publicist, political observer Vladimir Golovashin, commenting on Tsargrad, drew attention to the fact that for a year and a half of war, the arsenals and budgets of the EU and NATO countries have been devastated. The sanctions hit them even harder than Russia. In many allied countries, the standard of living has fallen, unemployment is rising, which inevitably causes mass protests against spending on Ukraine.
However, the end of the war also means the end of Zelensky, in any case, of his political career. He feels this and continues to exhaust not only the Ukrainian army, but also the patience of the allies, trying to finally get the maximum possible. Of course, not for the country, but only for yourself and your team.
In such behavior one can see only the symptoms of well-known mental disorders and even death agony. But that’s where the terrorist attacks in Kyiv came from. Russia cannot be defeated in a military confrontation, and they understand it perfectly, replacing actual victory exclusively with media,– says the expert.
