“Shall we dance”: – Touched the judges to tears

FORNEBU (See and Hear): Last week, this year’s “Skal vi danse” season opened with a bang. The level among the celebrities is apparent higher than ever, and the first tier of the year already came at the premiere.

For the first time, viewers and the audience also saw two men dancing together, and Joakim Kleven and Benjamin Jayakoddy blew all the others off the dance floor with its terrific tango.

– My God, what the hell happened there. I’m dying, father, this is happening now. I’m very grateful that we were allowed to come out with that “pan” that way. If anyone thought this was strange, then we got proof that they were wrong, Kleven told Se og Hør after the premiere.

Out with injury

On Saturday night, the first pair of the season was scheduled to leave the competition after receiving the fewest points. However, this was not the case.

Prior to the broadcast, it was announced that no couple will break out tonight either. Sexologist and influences Iselin Guttormsen had to retire after suffering an ankle fracture.

– I have cried since I received the message, she said.

– I wish with all my heart that I could continue. In that sense, it is nice that this is not a decision that I have to make, but some professionals have said that I must. Then I have no choice, she continued.

The other participants will still perform their dances tonight.

– Brutal

Tonight’s program was opened by none other than ski jumper Maren Lundy. Despite being told that she was massaging several places in the dance, she took home 13 points.

Øyvind “Vinni” Sauvik, who danced tango with Rikke Lund last Saturday, was not very happy after the premiere.

The duo still finished with 15 points.

Tonight it was rumba’s turn, a dance they got 14 points for. Afterwards, Vinni said that the week after the premiere has been heavy.

– Pretty brutal. I feel I have grossly underestimated how intense this is, he said on the floor, among other things.

The artist Royane received a lot of praise from the judges. She has previously been open about the fact that she has performance anxiety. This, however, the judges thought did not shine through today. She got 23 points.

– In shock

Anniken «Annijor» Jørgensen danced salsa with Santino Mirenna. The judges thought she was flirting with both the dance partner, the audience and the camera. Jørgensen herself said that she was completely in shock after the dance.

– This is perhaps one of the best things that has happened to me, she continued.

– It was synchronous, it was beautiful, said judge Trine Dehli Cleve.

Dennis Vareide and Lillian Aasebø got eight points for their salsa tonight, and the judges were not entirely impressed. Admittedly, they pointed out that the effort was impeccable.

– There is nothing to say about the effort at least, said Trine.

The duo scored eight points.

– Damn good

Last week, as mentioned, Joakim Kleven and Benjamin Jayakoddy got the first ten of the season. Tonight they also impressed on the floor with their jive – to full cheers in the hall.

– You love to be on a stage, said judge Merete Lingjærde, who was unsure if the duo would be as good today as last week.

– And then you come out here like this. You are playful, resilient and intense, and get the whole audience with you, she said.

Morten Hegseth was also excited about tonight’s broadcast.

– It was damn good, said Hegseth.

The pigeon got 24 points.

– Madness

There was also full cheering when Elin Ørjasæter and Bjørn Wettre Holthe turned to “Tango For To” by Alf Prøysen.

– I really liked this. You raise the dance one notch and the madness one extra notch, said Morten Hegseth.

According to Trine Dehli Cleve, Ørjasæter shows dancing joy, which resulted in 14 points.

– Annoyingly beautiful

Siri Avlesen-Østli and Tarjei Svalastog were hailed by the judges for their rumba. Trine Dehli Cleve said the following after the dance:

– Rumba is so difficult – you delivered so beautifully. I love it.

Merete Lingjærde for her part thought this was a great contrast to the duo’s dance last week.

– Rumba is extremely difficult – it was incredibly good. You have a toughness and create lines. You also have an annoyingly beautiful and intense expression, the judge said.

Avlesen-Østli herself revealed that she practices the dance at every available opportunity.

– Tarjei is really good at teaching then. I love it here, really love it. I stand every single hour I have – and get shut up by my children, she said.
