FORNEBU (Dagbladet): On Saturday night, the stage is set for the Halloween broadcast and the quarter-finals of this autumn’s «Skal vi danse». The competition is intensifying and the dance final is fast approaching. Tonight, another participant had to put the dancing shoes on the shelf, and thus there are only three celebrities left.
Last week it was a tearful Royane Harkati who got the fewest points and thus smoked out of the competition.
After dancing two dancers each, it was Simon Nitsche and Øyvind “Vinni” Sauvik who got the fewest combined points, and thus had to go out in a dance duel.
After an intense duel where both couples impressed, it was finally Vinni who pulled the shortest straw.
– I’m shit happy. I was very angry after the first dance because I danced so badly, so it was great to show that I can dance that cha cha cha as well. It got much better the second time, says Vinni to Dagbladet after the broadcast.
– It has been very nice, but also very tiring. It really does not bother me to smoke now, I look forward to getting my life back. The only thing that is a pity is that I am not allowed to be with Rikke every day, he says and praises his dance partner in the air:
– I have become very fond of Rikke. She is absolutely amazing, simply a wonder of a human being. She’s kind, she’s warm, she’s good, she’s patient – I can ‘t brag enough about her.
– You’re so king
Like the last Saturdays, the celebrities were also to impress tonight with two dancers each.
First out was Magnus Moan and his dance partner Ewa Trela with a sensual cha cha cha.
– Cha cha cha is completely ironed, it is recommended, Magnus said after the dance
– Very, very nice start. “You continue where you left off last week,” said Trine Dehli Cleve.
– You are so king, you are so raw !, Morten Hegseth boasted.
Magnus scored 27 points.
– Put in the fuse box
The next participant out is Simon and his dance partner Helene Spilling. The duo impressed with a scary tango.
– Dance becomes uninteresting to me if you can not tie technique, musicality and communication together – but this was in the fuse box, said Merete Mørk Lingjærde.
– You are starting to get some dance technique skills, you have understood what you are doing. One thing I’m not so happy about today is your neck. Now it’s the quarterfinals and I want it perfect – but it’s almost.
Simon scored 28 points.
– Have we seen the same dance?
Vinni and Rikke Lund also danced a powerful cha cha cha to the theme song “Bella Ciao” from “Papirhuset”.
– Always nice to dance with Rikke, he said after the dance.
– Now we are in the quarterfinals and now I have to be a little strict – because I have seen you much better than this. This was not entirely good for me.
– Have we seen the same dance ?, counters Trine, and adds:
– Now you start sniffing at the very top grades. Sometimes I think you delivered so much good!
Vinni got 24 points from the judges.
– Not the best
Siri Avlesen-Østli and Tarjei Svalastog swung their hips in an animal samba.
– I see that there is a lot of dancing joy and now you are starting to get control of your over-ignition, but there will be big dance steps and a little uncontrolled arms, said Trine.
-I think you are raw, I think you are straight to the point. It’s not the best I’ve seen of you but it’s superbly delivered in a quarter final, Merete continued.
Siri was rewarded with 26 points.
– Do not look better
Then it was ready for the participants’ second dance for the evening.
Magnus and Ewa delivered a seductive Argentine tango, to Morten’s great delight.
– Tough music, completely raw dance – so good!
– Here it was a change of pace, dynamics and nuances one out of another world, agreed a satisfied Merete.
– For a partner you have got, Trine said to Ewa.
Magnus got a full pot for his second dance.
Simon and Helene’s second dance of the evening was a fiery samba, which impressed the audience to standing ovations.
– Simon, every season of “Skal vi danse” lives its own life, but I do not think I have seen a better samba, Trine opened.
– If I had a hat today, I would take it off.
It was thus a full pot for SImon’s second dance as well.
– Do not see what I want to see
Siri and Tarjei delivered an elegant paso double, and she impressed as much as Cruella de Vil:
– Talk about having poker faces, this was absolutely beautiful, said Morten
– I told you at the dance center that it is dangerous to pedal too much, and I think you did so much better now. Instead of attacking the floor, you used your feet much more sophistically.
Siri got 27 points for his paso.
Vinni and Rikke ended the show with an intense zombie-Argentine tango.
– You know what, I think this was incredibly cool. I was there from start to finish. This is the best I’ve seen of you, said Morten.
However, Trine was not entirely convinced:
– We are in a quarter final, and I do not see the things I would like to see
Vinni received the evening’s last referee points, and ended up with 25 points.
