What made the most impact was a rat in the foreground, right where the artist was, a fact that lent itself to all kinds of interpretations.

On Twitter, for example, users claimed that the rat in the video was referring to Gerard Piqué, who betrayed Shakira just when she needed him the most, when her father, William Mebarak Chadid, had a critical health condition.
