The Colombian pop star’s father was seriously injured in an accident and had to be treated in intensive care. “I then found out through the press that I had been cheated while my father was in ICU,” Shakira recalls. “I lost the man I loved most, my father, when I needed him the most. I couldn’t talk to him (the father, ed.) and ask my best friend for advice, which I so needed.”
The singer and the former FC Barcelona player broke up last year after a relationship of twelve years because Piqué would have cheated. The two have two children together, sons Milan and Sasha.
In a song with the Argentinian rapper Bizarrap – aka Bzrp – Shakira Piqué already gave a blow with an unmistakable lyrics. Phrases like “I wish you well with my so-called replacement” and “you traded a Ferrari for a Twingo, a Rolex for a Casio” left little to the imagination.
