Being the children of one of the most famous singers in the world should not be an easy thing and Shakira is aware of it, because despite this she tries to give a normal life to her family. That is why he confessed that, at home, they do not listen to his own music and explained the reasons.
The artist is promoting her new musical single “Don’t Wait Up”, which will be part of her new album, so the interpreter took the opportunity to share with her fans how the dynamics are with her children Sasha and Milan regarding the fact that both she and Gerard Piqué are international stars in different branches.
“I think they appreciate it, but I don’t make my kids listen to my music. I try not to play my own songs when we are at home. I try to give them the greatest sense of normalcy possible, “he explained in an interview with ET Canada about his success.
“They cannot escape the reality that we are public people, but we try to normalize things and live simply, like any other person,” added the Colombian, and we know that her hips do not lie, so surely you would rarely find her little ones singing “Inevitable” or the “Waka Waka”.
He also revealed that Gerard Piqué is not too involved in his career. “My husband has no idea about anything related to the music business (…) he is not very artistic, but he is my family so I like to ask him what he thinks,” he said with a laugh.
In this way, Shakira tries to separate her professional life as much as possible from her personal space at home, since she does not want her children to see her as a famous person; it is even rare to find Sasha and Milan in their posts on social networks or in public.
In addition, he also assured that they rarely watch football, something that makes sense if they apply the same dynamic for dad, because as a sports star, with Gerard Pique they have a similar “rule”.
