Shakira and FC Barcelona footballer Gerard Piqué are separating after eleven years, the management of the Colombian singer reports on Saturday The Huffington Post.
Shakira (45) and Piqué (35) have been together since 2011 and have two sons together: Milan (9) and Sasha (7).
The pair asked in a short statement “to respect their privacy with a view to the well-being of the children”.
The singer and the footballer have reportedly been living separately for a long time. The Spanish defender is said to have been kicked out of the house by Shakira. Since then, Pique would have put the flowers out a lot.
In her latest hit Good luck to you Shakira already seemed to be hinting at a breakup. “I can’t stand people with two faces anymore, my eyes are red from crying for you,” she sings in the song.
