Shailene Woodley, known for the Divergent-franchise in de recente The Mauritanian, speaks during a recent interview about the many unrealistic sex scenes. She finds it unbelievable when the woman is still wearing a bra.Woodley says she has no problem shooting nude scenes herself, as long as there has been a good conversation about it beforehand: ”I’ve never felt uncomfortable during a sex scene, but maybe it’s because I’m speaking out”.

”I always talk about it with the director and the actor for that scene. What is expected of me? How are we going to film it? Is nude really necessary for this movie?Woodley continues.
”That way I know exactly what to expect and I immediately show how far I am willing to go. So it never got out of hand”.

Finally, the actress says that female nudity is probably often avoided to keep the film ‘tidy’, but is therefore unrealistic: ”It still happens too often that when two people make love in a movie, the woman is still wearing her bra”.
”I don’t think I’ve ever had sex with a bra on. Or maybe just once in a while. And I’d rather go for a realistic image than something that seems too modest”.
