Bollywood star son, Shah Rukh Khan, Aryan Khan, was arrested. He was arrested at a drug party on a cruise ship.
The arrest occurred on Sunday (3/10/2021). Aryan Khan was one of the people at the party which was held off Mumbai Beach.
A total of eight people were detained by the NCB (Narcotics Control Bureau). Five people were identified as drug dealers.
The raid found 13 grams of cocaine, 22 pills of MDMA (ecstasy) and 5 grams of MD (Mephedrone) which were in the moderate amount category. In addition, there are also 21 grams of chara which is included in the small amount category.
NCM mentions Aryan Khan keeps drugs in the lens case he carried. Meanwhile, the other suspect kept his drugs in the medicine box to sanitary napkins.
Aryan Khan was also said to be unable to argue after NCB checked his cellphone. In conversations on WhatsApp chats, Aryan Khan also often discusses drugs with other suspects.
“The investigation is still ongoing. We are looking at all angles in this case. We will explain the details once we get the evidence,” said Pradhan, Head of NCB, quoted from the Indian Express, Monday (4/10/2021).
Currently, the eight people who have been arrested are difficult to bring to justice. Special Public Prosecutor Advait Sethna said the detention would be carried out until October 5 for questioning.
So far, there has been no statement from Shah Rukh Khan and his family about the arrest.
