In the Kurgan region, the Shadrinsk inter-district prosecutor Vasily Grigoriev sued the local city council. The lawsuit is related to the fact that the deputies at the meeting did not support the protest of the prosecutor, who believes that the mayor of the city of Shadrinsk, Anton Mokan, was illegally paid a bonus at the end of last year. Representatives of the City Duma are going to defend their position in court. “We acted within the powers of the Shadrinsk City Duma. The decision was made within the framework of the legislation of the Russian Federation and the charter of the city of Shadrinsk, ”Vladimir Pikalin, chairman of the city duma, explained to URA.RU.
Earlier, at a meeting of the Duma, almost all deputies rejected protest prosecutor, who believes that the bonus in the amount of 172,414 rubles was paid illegally. According to the prosecutor’s office, at the end of the year the regional government sent money to Shadrinsk not for bonuses, but to balance the local budget. Therefore, prosecutors demanded to cancel the decision of the thought which has allowed to give out the premium.
