Shaddadi hospital opens soon

Under restoration for nearly a year following its destruction by the Islamic State, the public hospital in Shaddadi, in northeastern Syria, will soon open its doors.

Destroyed by the jihadists of the Islamic State (IS), the hospital of Shaddadi, in the south of the province of Hassaké, has been restored at the request of the local population. Project manager Mihemed Zêdo told the Kurdish news agency Hawar News (ANHA) that the restoration of the hospital was 95% complete, adding that it would be put into operation from the month of March.

The hospital will serve some 700 villages located in Shaddadi, Deir ez-Zor, Arishah, Ebdan and Mergedam provinces.

Mihemed Zêdo said the hospital would provide great service to residents of Al-Siwer town and villages in the northern Deir ez-Zor region, as well as residents of Al-Dashisha town. , on the border between Iraq and Syria.

Thanks to this hospital, the local population will no longer have to go to the towns of Qamishlo and Hassaké for treatment.
