Actress, BJP leader and member of the National Commission for Women Khushbu has made a serious revelation that she was a victim of sexual harassment by her father. In an interview with prominent journalist Barkha Dutt, Khushbu revealed that she was a victim of sexual and physical abuse at the age of eight.
“When a boy or a girl is molested, their lives are scarred. My mother went through the worst marriage. The father was a person who considered it his birthright to beat his wife and daughter and sexually abuse his only daughter.
He was sexually and physically abused by his father at the age of eight. At the age of 15, I had the courage to speak out against my father. “I am ready to take such a stand because I am afraid that other family members will also be abused,” said Khushbu.
He was afraid that his mother would not believe him. At that time there was a society where the husband was God. However, at the age of 15, he decided to react against his father. Khushbu said that his father abandoned him at the age of sixteen.
