Mumbai: A girl who jumped out of her vehicle and onto the road after the driver attempted to harass her while riding in an auto rickshaw has been hospitalized with serious injuries. An attempted rape of an underage girl took place in Aurangabad, Maharashtra. CCTV footage of Sunday’s incident was widely circulated on social media.
The girl called the car to go home after class. The driver, Saeed Akbar Hameed, misbehaved with the girl. Police say the girl jumped from the speeding auto-rickshaw to escape. After that, the autorickshaw drove off without stopping. Police have informed that the driver has been arrested and POCSO has been indicted against him.
