Education and learning are lifelong processes. Sexual education is also a lifelong process
Everyone acquires knowledge and skills differently. We want to convey an appreciative understanding of sexuality, relationships, body and personality.
Our field of work, sexual education, is there for the open and association-based Protestant youth in North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW). We support full-time and volunteer staff as well as leaders in open and association-based youth work.
We are closely linked to other fields of activity in Protestant youth work. For example, with the fields of activity prevention of sexual violence and open work. We are also integrated into various networks, Protestant, but also others.
The Ministry for Children, Youth, Family, Equality, Refugees and Integration of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia enables the field of action of sexual education for the Evangelical Youth NRW with funds from the State Child Protection Act.
The Evangelical Youth Working Group NRW (aej-nrw.de) and the Evangelical State Working Group Open Doors NRW (elagot-nrw.de) are responsible for the field of sexual education. The offices are located in the Rhineland and Westphalia at the youth work offices of the respective regional churches.
