(Toronto) A hearing is scheduled for Thursday to convict Canadian musician Jacob Hoggard, convicted earlier this year for sexually assaulting an Ottawa woman.

A jury found Hedley’s singer guilty of sexual assault that caused personal injury in a 2016 incident in a Toronto hotel room.
Jurors found him not guilty of the same offense against another fan, who was then a teenager.
Hoggard, 38, pleaded not guilty to two counts of sexual assault that caused bodily harm – one for each complainant – and one count of sexual interference, an allegation that refers to the sexual touch of an aged person. under the age of 16.
During the trial, Crown prosecutors alleged that Jacob Hoggard raped the two plaintiffs, violently, in separate incidents in the fall of 2016. They also claimed to have groped the teenager after a Hedley concert in April 2016. when he was 15.
The defense argued that the contact never occurred and that Hoggard had consensual sex with each of the complainants.
