A 76 year old from the province of Avellino was arrested by agents of the Ariano Irpino police station for multiple aggravated sexual violence against a 10 year old girl. The investigations, coordinated by the Prosecutor’s Office Beneventowere taken following a post published on Facebook by the little girl’s grandfather, to whom the little girl had told what had happened.
The grandfather was summoned to the police station and reported the confidences received from her granddaughter; the latter, heard in the presence of a psychologist, confirmed what she had already confided to her grandfather and, she added, also to a friend, her mother and her father’s new partner. All the people interviewed confirmed the confidences received and allowed the 76-year-old under investigation to be identified, burdened by specific relapsealso photographically recognized by the little girl, as the perpetrator of the sexual violence.
To further confirm what was stated, screenshots were acquired, posts published on Facebook, photos, videos and Google Maps routesas well as carried out investigations on the holders of the utilities involved. Last night the agents of the Ariano Irpino police station carried out a precautionary custody order for the 76-year-old under house arrest with a prohibition on meetings with minors, even in the context of family relationships.
