– A video of two men having sex on a train in Hong Kong spread on the Internet, and local police initiated an investigation, Hong Kong South China Morning Post (SCMP) reported on the 16th (local time).

According to SCMP, a 45-second video of two men undressing and having sex in an empty carriage on the Hong Kong Railway Tung Chung Line has spread rapidly through the Internet, such as social network services (SNS) such as Twitter.

The video also shows other passengers sitting in the same carriage far away from them. The faces of the two men were covered with emoticons.

When the video was released, Hong Kong netizens resentful and the video was immediately deleted. SCMP reported that the Hong Kong public lamented the actions of the people in the video.

A spokesman for the Hong Kong Subway Corporation (MTR) said, “We have reported this incident to the police and will support the investigation.” In addition, MTR said it was unable to determine the source of the video or when it was filmed.

Upon receipt of the report, the police began an investigation.

According to Hong Kong law, if you are convicted of “damaging public dignity,” you can face up to seven years in prison. Even under the MTR rules of operation, passengers who engage in obscene or objectionable behavior will be fined up to HK$5,000 (approximately 710,000 won).

Meanwhile, this is not the first time a video of sexual intercourse was taken in a public place in Hong Kong. In 2015, a video of two college students having sex at a bus stop in Hong Kong’s Homantine area was posted on social media. When the video spread, they surrendered to the police and were accused of damaging public dignity, and were sentenced to 60 hours of volunteer work and a year of probation.
